Psychological medicine
A study looked at how modernized collaborative care, which includes internet or phone-based therapy and/or antidepressants, affected individual depression symptoms in a diverse group of primary care patients. They found this approach improved most symptoms of depression, such as hopelessness, sadness, and fatigue, significantly more than usual care. However, some symptoms like suicidality, loneliness, and changes in appetite didn't show the same level of improvement, suggesting these areas might benefit from additional, targeted support.
